I mended this garden hose sprayer recently. The trigger broke, rendering the thing useless. So I took some measurements and 3D-printed a replacement part with PETG filament.
The repair is arguably better than the original. It has a large paddle with a lot of surface area, so it’s an easy squeeze. The trigger now attaches to the sprayer with an M3 bolt and nyloc nut, so it should work reliably for years to come.
While we’re on gardening and 3D printing, I needed some washers to stop the various hose leaks in the yard. I didn’t want to drive to a hardware store or order from an online seller. It occurred to me: why not 3D print those? So I loaded a reel of green TPU filament, and minutes later, I had a dozen of them.
